<p>There are a lot of good things about this diet that can indeed help you lose weight.  The focus on eating bananas for breakfast means that you’ll be eating breakfast regularly everyday if you follow this diet.  If that is an improvement for you (i.e. if you sometimes miss breakfast right now), you’ll be jumpstarting your metabolism properly and that will certainly help with your weight loss goals.</p>
<p>Additionally, bananas contain a significant amount of fiber relative to their size.  That means that eating one or two of them for breakfast will allow you to feel full for longer periods of time while also utilizing the power of one of those fibers (starch) to help your body burn through more fat faster.  So from that point of view, increasing the number of them in your diet at the expense of less healthy foods is also a very good thing to do.</p>
